Sanctuary Project in Igamatundu
Igamatundu is a rural community in the outskirts of Mt. Kenya in the Meru region. They have electricity and water, that came in recent years. There is a very vibrant catholic community in this rural area, who are mostly subsistent farmers. Over the last few years they have built a decent brick church, with the leadership of father John and fatehr Xaviour. I had the privilege to design and implement their sanctuary. This is how we did it.
Constryction in progress. I had to mark and draw the design on the floor for my "fundi" mason to grasp the idea.
